＊英語ミニ知識：「Scaffolding is a temporary structure used to support people and material in the construction. Bamboo is still used in HongKong.→“足場”は建築中に人間や資材を支えるために使われる仮の構造物です。香港ではまだ竹が使われています」「足場→scaffolding」ですね＊

It has been terribly cold these days.
How did you spend the three-day weekend?
In my school, we had special lessons by Louise on Monday.
In the morning, she organized a group lesson for four ladies. They discussed a variety of issues. Louise has ever seen the three of them. She said everybody had improved a lot. It was the first time for her to see the other one. According to Loiuse, her pronunciation is like Hawaiian and she speaks very naturally. I was so delighted to listen to her comment.
In the afternoon, she taught two girls. They played a lot of games such as "Go fish". Both of the girls were very excited during the lessons.
After the lessons, we went to the center of Kawagoe and enjoyed walking around. Please look at the photo of Louise in Kashiya-yokocho(Penny Candy Lane). She looked so happy with two long sticks which are sweets. Most of my foreign friends buy this sweet there!
It is really practical to have a conversation with a native teacher like Louise. Why don't you join the special lesson next time?

They renamed the building “Burj Khalifa”to honor the Abu Dhabi leader who is also president of the UAE. The new name must be because of the great amount of the financial aid by Abu Dhabi ＊

Hi everyone, how was your weekend?
On Sunday, we had the 3rd Yoga in English. Jenni, a professional Yoga teacher from NewZealand, came here and we had a wonderful lesson for 90 minutes.
Firstly, Jenni showed us the headstand. Her shape was so beautiful that everybody was really impressed.
We did a variety of Yoga positions, such as a dog, a cow, a cat, a warrior and so on. In th end of the lesson, we laid ourselves on the Yoga mat and meditated for ten minutes, which made me so refreshed
It is a lot of fun to do Yoga. Why don't you join Jenni's lesson next time? I am sure you will have a great time.
Yesterday, I invited Louise here. She had some lessons with my students. It is a good opportunity for my students to have a conversation with a native teacher like Louise. Everybody had a wonderful time.
After the lesson, we went shopping and had dinner together. We went to a fancy restaurant where we will hold a Christmas party. The dinner was fantastic! Everybody, please look forward to the Christmas party! It is just around the corner♪
＊英語ミニ知識：ルイーズ先生がいらっしゃると、辞書では解決がつかない細かいニュアンスについてお聞きします。先日「“どっこいしょ”は英語で何と言うのですか？」と知り合いから質問を受けました（個人的には特に言わないように気をつけている言葉ではありますが・・・）。和英辞典やネットで調べると“Here we are.”とか“plump down”と出ていますが、実際、英語のnativeが掛け声をかけているのを見聞きしたことがありません。不思議に思いルイーズ先生に聞きましたところ、やはりそういう時は、特に決まった言葉がないそうです。ですからテニスの選手なんかはまるで悲鳴のようにシャウトしているのですね。他にも日本と西洋の文化の違いなど色々語り合い、あっという間に時間がすぎました＊
